Last Friday I went to a dinner event organised by Mia Chapman, from Durham Girl Geek Dinners. The aim of the event is to get all the girls from the North East together and talk geek! The guest speakers included Fiona Cruickshank (owner of SCM Pharama and founder of The Specials Laboratory), Clare Hart (executive Vice president of Dow Jones) and Kim Inglis (former ITV Tyne Tees presenter) who was the host of the evening. I really enjoyed the event, it had a relaxing atmosphere and we get to see that there are a lot of girl geeks out there to support each other!
